Franchisee Fees. What are they for?

Initial Franchise Fee: $25,000

  • Costs incurred in recruiting and training a new franchisee.
  • Costs incurred in bringing the new franchisee’s business into the Dollar Value operating system
  • A return for the franchisor for the right to use the system

Ongoing Service Fee: 5%

  • Ongoing business management support for the franchisee by the franchisor
  • Benefits of group purchasing power, particularly access to branded suppliers
  • Contributions for:
    • development cost for ongoing franchisee training and education
    • maintenance of individual franchise consistency and standards
    • the development costs of the franchise operating systems, including the proprietary Dollar Value POS system and the financial management system
    • the cost of protecting the intellectual property belonging to the franchise system.

Advertising Levy: 5%

  • Development and implementation of advertising plans:
    • Local radio
    • Print
    • Club Reward cards
    • Business account materials
    • Participation in local events
    • Development and maintenace of the Dollar Value website
